Jacob's Birthday :)

There were so many pictures, I posted most of them in a slide show in the previous post... :)

Our Jacob turned for on August 4th! We had a great time celebrating at the pool with family and a few close friends. We had pizza, watermelon and a big pool for everyone! Jacob told us he wanted a "jet" on his cake - and because our family is so big, I knew we would have to get a 1/2 sheet cake...so we ordered the cake. I had a lot less stress with this birthday - it was awesome!! :) We got a slingshot jet at the store to put on the cake, and when I was putting it together right before the party I noticed that all the stickers for it were in Chinese...hmmm. Well, come to find out, it was a Chinese Red Army plane - um...Oh NO! I didn't have time to get another one, but I really didn't want a nod to communism on Jacob's birthday cake! Well, we decided to just not worry about it. It came time to put the plane on the cake and sing, and we were laughing about the plane (especially because our brother-in-law, Dave is in the Air Force). Jacob heard us and laughed and said "Can the plane just crash into the cake, daddy?" Hahaha...perfect! So that's just what we did:

We had a great time with everyone, and Jacob had a blast with cousins and friends! When it began getting dark and we were winding things down, I over heard him talking to his cousin, Tyler, and said "Well Tyler, my birthday is ended" and threw his little arms down. It was hilarious! He was also running around dancing and singing "I'm 4, I'm 4, oh yeah, yeah, YEAH!" Jacob was a little sad when it was over, but he played and laughed every minute of it.
Jacob, we love you so much! Our family is so blessed my you, and we are so excited for all the wonderful things you will continue to learn and see - you are such a great boy!

I have to say that I was a little taken back realizing that Jacob is half way to being baptized! The time has passed by so quickly!
