In A Galaxy Far, Far Away....

It was Halloween! This was the first year that Jacob showed interest in his costume, and wanted to pick it out himself (I was hoping for one more year of choosing something cute myself...lol). And he decided on Jengo Fett (from Star Wars...because he had a blaster):If you know Michael well, you will know why I laughed at this pose...I can picture so clearly Michael as a boy here!
I love always getting to be Princess Laia (we are all about the old school Star Wars here).
After getting dressed up we went to Chipotle for our free dinner! It has become our Halloween tradition. If you wear any tin foil, you get a free burrito. Rachel, Gary and Sabella joined us - all decked out! :)
This one makes me laugh every time I see it. Sabella, you are such a cutie!!!
Jacob hamming it up at dinner. He also went around asking people about their costumes and telling them to let him know if they saw any bad guys he needed to "blast".
This was also Jacobs first year trick-or-treating! We went to a different neighborhood, and it was perfect! There was great houses, tons of kids and a whole little herd of Star Wars characters! Jacob saw the Storm Troopers helmets from across the street (and several houses down, haha!) and ran over to them. The other boys were great and they all played at trick-or-treated together the rest of the night! We went to a few more homes than I planned, but Jacob was having so much fun, I couldn't resist! There were 6 boys total having a blast! He had a TON of candy afterwards, but thankfully he was so tired he didn't eat any....

Here is our tuckered out hero after a great night! He had made the Lego speeder earlier in the night and wanted some pictures of it. It was his first time putting it together all by himself!
Who wouldn't want to have fun with cool stuff like that?? :)
It was a great Halloween! I am excited for many more to come! We got lucky with the candy, because he forgot about it for a few days. Then I found a Annakin Skywalker costume on clearance and picked it up for him (who says boys don't like dress-up, too? :)). He wanted a light saber to go with it....so we purposed a trade. All his candy for 1 light saber...and (of course) he chose the light saber. HOORAY for no candy fits!!
