Jacob loves the show Zamboombafoo on Sprout, and does not get to watch it as often as he would like, but today the planets aligned and he watched the whole show!
Today they talked about animals that live in the snow (how fitting!), and Jacob really soaked it all in...especially when they explained that arctic foxes eat the snow for water because in their natural climate, all the water freezes. Later, Jacob went out back to play, and I caught him hiding behind the grilling island....
EATING SNOW...out of a small shovel no less! I had to laugh and take pictures before the proper intervention. I, after all, was a sneaky snow eater as a child - that must be why I turned out so well! Hahahaha!
He saw me, and walked right towards me, still eating the snow. He explained to me that he was eating the snow because he was thirsty, and the snow gives him water just like arctic foxes. Well...who can argue with that? I decided to take the "its not clean" route, and thankfully that seemed to do it. Funny, smart little kid!
