Handy Man Jacob

The Air Conditioner in our apartment went out, and it took the complex a while to get the right parts and get it installed properly - so we were without an AC for about 3 weeks.
One day was particularly hot, and Michael mentioned that the AC was broken. If you tell Jacob that anything in broken, he will happily volunteer to fix it. So, naturally, Jacob decided that he would fix the AC. He ran to his room and got his tools out (thanks to Susan for thinking ahead and getting those!) and asked Michael to put him on his shoulders. Before he could get started though, he had to put on his "builder man goggles" so he could see the screws (that's what he said).
After several minutes with a wrench (he said thats what he needed to get the screws out) he calmly said to Michael "Okay Daddy, I am ready for my drill. Can you hand me my drill?" As you can see, Jacob was taking this task very seriously. When he was done, he gave us a thumbs-up and we celebrated...then opened more windows!
Jacob loves feeling useful and he loves knowing that he helps - I am so thankful for a great little boy!
