Potty Training - Day 3

Wahoo! Jacob has been doing the "running around in the buff" method since last night, and he is doing great! He didn't have any accidents yesterday or today (I am not counting waking up with a wet pull-up). Already today he was in the middle of playing when he suddenly stopped and ran to the potty, got on, and went without any help! I didn't even catch on until I saw him turn on the bathroom light, by the time I got there he was almost done. He also did "#2" today as well, initiated by him...I am feeling really encouraged! I think he will remain in the buff tomorrow as well and then move on to some underwear. HOORAY!!
I never knew how difficult potty training could be - especially when you worry about everything like I do. Jacob is learning so much these days, he is really blossoming. I can also see how happy he is doing things for himself. He does not like to make a big deal out of things he conquers, but I can tell he loves that feeling of knowing he can do it - and that's the best thing for him.
I cant say how many times I get all excited and celebrate his successes, and he just smiles that smile and moves on. I still celebrate and get excited, even if he doesnt, after all, its one of the best parts of being a mom!

That is soexciting! Hooray for the the big boy!! We did the "just underware/buff" method with Calvin and we was potty trained completely in about a week, so I hope it works that well for you guys...besides, Jacob sounds like a very bright kid. I think we also did little prizes and maybe a sticker chart for the potty, the first few weeks, just to keep him motivated and excited about it.
