Swimming Lessons and Fun

Jacob began his first round of swimming lessons! He loves them! His teacher, Ellen, is wonderful. They play so many fun games while learning things to help them feel at ease in the water.Jacob hates...and I mean HATES getting his ears wet. I think he would rather have water in his eyes than his ears. Thankfully swimming lessons are helping with that. He told me "Mom, I even put my ears under the water. But I just did it one time. I did, Mom." I was pretty pleased. After swimming lessons we went to the park near the pool to play for a little while. It is a great park! Most of the equipment and benches are under huge shady trees, and it has a huge play area. There is a small lake next to it, Prospect Lake. Jacob loved chasing the birds and playing on the bank. After we got home it was time for some playing before both of the kids had a nap. Yep - both kids! Swimming lessons has also brought back naptime for Jacob most days...I have to admit its a great bonus for me :). My house has stayed clean! ;)
