Jelly Blasters

I had the cutest conversation with Jacob tonight. Jacob was describing to me what it would be like to have a "blaster" that shoots food...particularly jelly. Jacob also described it as "like jam, and its totally red". I asked him if we could also have a peanut butter blaster and shoot bread with them to make a sandwich. He then replied:

"Mom, if you got blasted with those blasters, you would just be totally delicious! And pretty sticky, too."

I also learned that if a helicopter was blasted by them, it would "stick out its tongue and like it off and say 'yum!' and then as it was crashing it would think, 'Man, I am pretty sticky' and crash and get washed off".

We also discussed the possibility of an ice cream blaster and the brain freezes that would surely follow because we would both have our mouths open to eat it when we got "blasted".

It was a nice and silly ending to a great day, and a night of tantrums and time outs...oy. It was a tender mercy for me. I love you, Jacob. I love being a mom - because I am your mom.
