(11/29/09)We had a terrific snow storm almost a week ago, and there are still piles of snow in our parking lot! Jacob recently got some snow boots (aka: Luke Skywalker boots) and had to try them out!
I was told that lightsaber's are not very good for digging tunnels in the snow. Apparently my shoes are the best way to go. ;)
It would not be a very good snow fort if it did not have a pilot's seat for the x-wing. Soon after the x-wing took off and destroyed the Death Star.
Jacob is such a friendly kid. He stood on the top of the "snow mountain on the planet Hoth" and waved at the cars coming in. He loves doing that.
He must have tired himself out, because he decided to sit down and take a break. Instead of waving at the cars, he was making up songs for them when they came.
After we got inside and warm with cozy clothes and hot chocolate, it was time to put up the Christmas tree! Since Jacob was born, I usually put up the tree when he was sleeping and surprised him with it in the morning, but this year I decided to involve him in the process. We had a blast listening to Christmas music and getting all the decorations out.
When we were putting up the lights on the tree I felt the strongest feeling of love for Jacob. He is such a great little boy. I love having him home with me. When I realized that starting next year he will be in Kindergarten, it made me sad to think of not having him home with me as much. I have been trying to make the most out of this time together, because time has passed my too fast for this mommy!
It was a great day for me, and full of wonderful memories!

I love fun, sweet days like that, when I only feel love for my children. Time is going by so fast-kids grow too fast, and then leave for school too soon! I love his orange boots!!!
