It Never Ends the Way You Think...It's Even Better!

I have been trying to include creativity in our every day life - as I shared in a previous post and we have made some great strides! I have noticed that with Jacob, we usually sit down to make something particular - but it never ends the way it begins. Typically the original idea is short lived and it takes on a completely different idea :)...like today, we began making a telescope...Then we found some pipe cleaners and I started making things while Jacob worked on his telescope...naturally, he had to sing me a song about them...
Then tangle them up and laugh - most things end up crashing these days :).
Then he decided he wanted to play a game - its checkers, only is has dinosaurs instead of checker pieces. But when Jacob plays it, its not unusual to have some sort of "flying" component.
He played this for over an hour - I love his amazing imagination! The space shuttle was lost with the dinosaurs and Jacob had to rescue it and then rescue the dinosaurs...I have never heard so many different sound effects in such a short time! :)
It was a great day together!!
