Saturday night we babysat for my dear friend, Anne. Jacob and Simon (almost 3) are great friends and like to tell me they are brothers. We were so excited for Simon and baby Eliza to come over! Before they came Jacob helped me make the pizza - one of our favorite things to make together!
Mmmm...it may look like a meat pizza - but I hide veggies under the cheese, it works beautifully! Its so funny to me that Jacob loves pepperoni when he gets to put it on the pizza (he did this one solo) but when it comes to eating it, he always picks it off. Funny kids.
After dinner I got Eliza to bed while the boys played. Then we had some fun painting! The boys both painted something for their dad. It was so funny to hear them talk about what they were doing. Jacob was in heaven. I put down old vinyl tablecloths everywhere and put the boys in old shirts - but I was thankful and a bit amazed that all the paint stayed on the brush, canvas, and fingers, of course!
The two "brothers" working happily. I have to say that I loved it, too. I think if I ever teach art, it would be with little ones :).
After painting it was time to clean up, get jammies on and watch a movie! I made popcorn and chocolate milk and they had a "picnic" during the movie. It was so much fun!
I am so thankful for great friends who have kids that Jacob loves and plays so well with. I am blessed to have a few here in Colorado Springs, and with all the changes in our ward boundaries...I am excited to make more friends.
