Pet Shamu

After the previous post about Jacob asking to have a humpback whale for a pet, I thought I would post some pictures of Jacob taking care of his pet, Shamu. He told me he was giving him squid (these eels were the closest thing we had to squid...thank Heaven for imagination!).

I thought it was cute to see him hold Shamu like a little baby. He had been helping me take care of Sabella that morning...

After feeding him he decided to put him down for a nap. He tucked him in and told him a story.

I have no intention on actually getting a pet anytime soon, so I am enjoying this for now. Jacob has really stepped into the "big brother" role with little Sabella with us during the days. He loves taking care of her, and he has started taking care of various things with greater care. He is such a wonderful help to me with the baby, more than I expected. He is such a great little boy!
