Now we know....

Well, many of us have been excited to finally know the outcome of this presidential election - and you probably have already seen so many posts and opinions about it - I wont dive deep into my feelings on this one, mainly because I feel a great sense of peace and optimism...as well as the "well, here we go, we knew these days were coming - so lets square our shoulders and get to work" feeling. I don't feel at all hopeless. I feel thankful for all the good and true things in life, and I got a good reminder to hold on to them and protect them (Hooray for the success of Prop.8!!). As you can see from my previous post, I was not a supporter of the President Elect, but I do think it is important to respect that the office of the president and to support the good that may come from it. Michael and I had an amazing talk last night about it all, and Michael had so many good points that I don't think I could quote accurately - maybe this will get him to post! :)
I thought I would post an amazing talk I read today that really inspired me. Read it here. I especially was inspired by his words about how hope leads to good works. :) Enjoy!

Well said, my friend...well said! I'm so glad prop 8 passed!

Having a decocratic president will help our reputation and standing with other countries, which is something we have to fix. He's got a huge job ahead of him, trying to fix our broken country and if he fails, there will most likely be a republican in next time!

Oh yeah, I turned 27. YIKES! Almost 30 now!!
