Michael had from Christmas to the Tuesday after New Year's off. It was SO good for all of us! Jacob got some great "Daddy time" during the vacation, and it was difficult for him when Michael had to go back to work again.
Tuesday Jacob got really grumpy in the afternoon. Finally, all he did was just cry on me. It took me a little while to get him to talk with me, and finally his little broken voice said "I just want my Daddy, Mom." My heart went out to him. Michael also has class at night, and I knew it would be the next morning before Jacob saw Michael, so I came up with a plan. Jacob was happy to accept it. He snuggled up in Michael's robe on the couch with a pillow and watched a Backyardigans DVD. He was sp happy to have something of Daddy's.
We got a great surprise that night! Michael got out of class really early, and he came home in time to be with Jacob! We all snuggled on our bed for a while and played shadow puppets on the walls with a flashlight...it was wonderful! Jacob is definitely becoming Daddy's little man!

So sad!!! My boys haven't been adjusting to having only me put them to bed lately since Michael is working nights now. It is so sad when they have everyone around for a while, and then things have to go back to normal!
Oh! Jacob loves his daddy. That is so cute, and so sad! Hang in there! It's hard to feel like a "single mom" when they get so busy!
