Today we were also excited that Michael got out of class early! Yes...he has class on Saturdays, too. There were a few things we needed for the house, so Michael and Jacob ran some errands while I got to stay home and get some things done.
Jacob was so excited to have "Daddy time"! They went to "the orange store" (aka: Home Depot). I told Jacob yesterday that I was going to take him there, but he looked at me and said "But Mom, the orange store is just for Daddies and their boys." Haha! Then I remembered that the last time Jacob went to Home Depot, he was with Michael buying a vacuum for the garage. Michael was excited to have some one on one time with Jacob, too.
They went to some of the fun "guy stores": Home Depot, Best Buy and then Wal Mart. Jacob told me they sat and watched a segment of Spider Man at Best Buy, and when they went to Wal Mart, Michael got Jacob a Transformer toy to celebrate their fun morning together! Michael LOVED Transformers when he was a kid! Here are my two happy men:
Jacob's other first was something fun in the mail! He got his first birthday party invitation in the mail! His cousin Kayla is 5 years old (Hooray for you, Kayla! We love you!) and she invited Jacob to her party! Jacob is really excited to go.
He carried around the invitation for most of the evening yesterday and then put it up on the fridge so he can see it. :)
