Saturday I went to wake Jacob up from his nap, and walked in to the strong smell of baby wipes - that cant be good. Jacob has never left his bed when we put him down - even when he wakes up in the morning he sits there and yells "Good morning Mommy!" until I come in. He just did that when we moved him from a crib, and it was so nice for us, we never fought it. I think our days of peace might have come to an end. I layed down by him to wake him up and his skin was coated with something - even his sheets felt kinda strange...then I found out what it was:This is a goopy, used-to-be-full tube of A&D cream! He told me that he had a "owie" and needed to put "medie" in it. Only he put it EVERYWHERE! So, I did what any other loving, disciplined mother would do - I called Michael in to check it out and grabbed the camera!
Thankfully this was all the cream that was NOT all over Jacob - the empty wipe bag was also involved...
Here is Jacob happy and goopy! Also sporting the Dori band-aid he insisted on having for a tiny scratch - he sure loves band-aids... You can see the cream all over his shirt! He told me that he put on too much "medie", so he had to get the wipes out and clean himself off (I cant imagine how much cream he was covered with before the wipes!)
And here is the entire contents of the almost-full wipe container thrown and piled in the middle of his floor. He told me he was tired, so he threw the wipes out of the bed when he was done with them. I had just enough time to clean him up and get ready for the ward party that night! Oh, Jacob - you are a funny kid!

This post made me smile! Sounds like something a three year old would do! :) Although they make messes, it makes you smile inside and out to know that they tried their hardest to clean it up!
Oh kids!!!! You think you can trust them....and then they do something like this! YIKES!
Oh man!!! This I'm sure was not fun to clean up, but hey, it makes a great story for later! Well, now too! Oh Jacob! heehee
