Maybe its just me, but LDS General Conference came at the right time! There is nothing like a weekend full of hope, much needed council from inspired men and women of God, and encouragement that only Heavenly Father can give. President Monson spoke about finding "joy in the journey" and counseled us not to get caught up in focusing on an issue or difficult time, and to remember the person on the other side of that trial we should love. There were so many things spoken at confrence that I loved - when I can go back to the transcripts online I'll post some of my favorites. There were several themes I noticed in confrence - unity, respect for others, repentance, standing tall for what is right and good, and hope. I know we all have our own political views, and I love talking about those :O)...but I could not help but notice how wonderful it was to listen to inspired people speak of hope, change for the better and living the best way we know how - and I knew that they were genuine and speaking from the heart. It was so refeshing! I know that this church is the true church and that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet of God. I am truly thankful for a prophet to follow that gives such hope and optimism in the misdt of all the chaos in the world around us.
