We found this awesome Pumpkin Patch just north of town and took Jacob there. Kathy and Kayla met us there, too - it was SOOOO much fun! The above pic was us in the parking area before going in. Thanks to Michael's observation we learned that we should not tell Jacob about a fun, exciting event the day before, because he cant sleep the night before! He was so excited, he woke up 3 times last night...but thankfully he slept in, so we didn't have to deal with the grumpies. Jacob was patient in the car, but had to make sure Michael knew the way. :P He kept telling us that he couldn't see the farm - but when we saw it up the road, Jacob knew that was the place! He barely ate breakfast - he just wanted to go to the Pumpkin Patch.

Jacob and his cousin, Kayla - it was a cute spot for pictures :). Its a good thing they had not seen all the fun stuff to do at this point - we would not have had the pic moment!
The first thing we did was the slides! They had 3 large slides so go down on with potato sacks. Jacob loved it! We got several good video's of it, but I chose to post this because it was the funniest. The only thing that got them away from the slides was a tractor ride...

When we got down the hill to the tractor ride, we had to wait in line. Jacob soon found the dirt, then he and Kayla found a broken pumpkin and decided to make something with it and started filling it with dirt. They were both singing this little tune while they were "working" it was hilarious! Leave it to creative little kids to find fun where ever they are - I want to be like that again!

The gang in the trailer behind the old green tractor. The kids were so excited to ride.
When they came back the driver let Jacob "drive" the tractor! A few weeks earlier he told me he wanted to be a "tractor driver", so I guess I can now say he has done that. I think it was his favorite part of the day. Jacob plans to drive many different vehicles in his life.
The Pumpkin Patch also had a small area where the kids could pet some little goats. Again, we have some other funny videos, but I thought this one was good because Jacob decided that they were his goats and named them. The white one was "Shia" and the brown one was "Chaca". He has such a funny personality! He kept trying to get "Shia" to walk - you cant hear it on the video, but he is trying to talk her into going with him most of the time. There were 2 other goats in the area, but when Jacob got near them, he reached out to pet them and then ran as far away from them as he could! I guess these two were the special ones. :)
They had some other tractors parked near the pumpkins that the kids could play on, so naturally Jacob had to get on those ones, too. This was my favorite shot of that moment because of how happy Jacob is!

Jacob and Michael getting rained on with their pumpkins! I think we are going to make this one a family tradition. Now I get to figure out what fun things we will do with the pumpkins :).

We came home and had lunch and played, then put up all our fall decorations! I love autumn!
