Star Gazing

Last night our friends brought us home from a meeting and I was busy getting all our stuff out of their car. I grabbed Jacob's hand to run across the street when he started crying. I got to the garage and asked him what was wrong. He looked up at me still sniffing and tearful and said "Mama, I wanted to sit in my car seat and look at the sky." It was so sweet! So, I sat his car seat right there in front of the garage and let him sit down - he buckled up (haha) and sat there looking up at the full moon and even found a star. It was a small and sweet moment. It was a good reminder for me to slow down sometimes. I used to love to stare out my window at night and look at the night sky - so it was nice for me too. I am sure we looked a bit silly, which I have never minded. It was a chilly night so we came inside and made steamers - I put green food coloring in Jacob's to be funny, he loved it! He told me "green milk" is his favorite. Good memories....

It is good that our kids remind us to slow down sometimes. What are steamers??

Steamers are warm/hot milk with flavoring in them, like almond or vanilla - I got hooked on them when I was a teenager...Yum!

I love looking up at the night sky. The moon is so huge tonight, I had to stare at it for a while when I got home tonight from Walmart.
Yeah, I have never heard of steamers before, but I just read your comment, so I can never say that again-hahaha!
