Homeward Bound

The trip home was fun! Unfortunately the flights were very full, so we did not have much space, but Jacob did amazingly well. Thankfully the Dallas airport has a play area for kids! It was the perfect respite from sitting on a plane for 2 hours.

Vera gave us some fun things for the ride. Jacob has been getting better and better with phonics and early spelling. I was so excited to have something to help him practice actually writing the letters. He loved the books and was very well entertained - good thinking Aunt Vera! :)
Jacob had a hard time being away from Michael for 2 weeks. We talked on the phone at least once a day at bedtime, but Jacob often became frustrated. He would tell me that he wanted Michael - not on the phone. I think the thought of seeing Michael made our goodbye's easier for Jacob. When we came up the escalator Jacob soon spotted Michael waiting there for us and ran with all he had to see him. He would not leave his side until he fell asleep in his own bed that night. Michael enjoyed every minute of it!

We were glad to be home and together again! :) Luckily, it was warm in Colorado the day we got home. It was strange to see the lovely mountains here and remember sitting on a beautiful beach that morning!
