Our flight back home did not leave until 2:00pm, so we had plenty of time to have another fun morning at the beach! Most of the cousins were in school, so it was just Vera, Katelyn, Jacob and me. I believe Jacob wanted to show me his "beach muscles"...

After becoming quite experienced from our previous trip to the beach - Jacob was all the more fearless and carefree...this picture is my favorite because it explains Jacob well...

I must say that there was something exhilarating about running along the shore, even I got the urge and had some fun.

Vera and I were looking for shark teeth along the shore - Jacob thought it would be a good idea to get the "shark tooth dump truck". I thought he would be more interested in finding sea shells, but the only thing that sparked interest was a large, thin shell that he told me was sharks skin :). Other than that - it was all fun in the water!

Vera found a shark tooth for us! Jacob was SO excited. He kept looking around for the shark to come back to get his tooth. Thankfully, that never happened ;).

Jacob and Katelyn playing - the tide was very low, so there was a lot of room to play. They were great friends and played so well together. I also just love this image...
Because of the low tide, there were awesome little tide pools for the kids to splash in. There were so many fun shells and treasures to dig up.
Jacob would play in the tide pool for a few minutes, then run as fast as he could into the waves!

After a few laps from the tide pool, Katelyn joined in and they raced along the shore. Jacob was laughing so much I could hear him over the crashing waves!
I walked out into the water and was having fun, when the sand under me shifted, and all of the sudden I felt a sharp clamping on my foot! I totally freaked out (after all, when does the ground bite you?) and went up onto the dry sand. Apparently I upset a crab who decided to try to take a bite out of me. A little while later, Vera found a little crab on the beach - not the same one.. I hope. :)

Jacob and Katelyn showing off their little crab. Thankfully they did not get too upset when we told them we were not taking it home with us.

Soccer on the beach! Before we left for Florida Jacob asked me if we could play soccer on the beach when we got there. It was fun!

We did not want the time to go by so fast! It was a great send-off adventure! Thank you, Moody's for so many great times together and new experiences! We love you!

We hurried home, bathed, and ran out the door for the airport! We never mean it intentionally, but every time I go to visit the Moody's we are in a mad dash to the airport - and I am always thankful! We have more time just enjoying being together, not looking at the clock - and then by the time we realize its time to get going, there is not a lot of time to focus on the sadness of it all. I love it that way - it was so hard to say goodbye, and I was so thankful to leave knowing we made the most of every minute together.
