After a trip yesterday to the Carneceria for some marinated steaks it was time to initiate the new grill. Jacob loves to cook with me in the kitchen, so cooking outside with Michael was like Christmas! And just a reminder - the apron does not have polka-dots :P...

Michael did a lot of grilling during his single days. He has grilled for us a few times on other people's grills and it was always fantastic! I wish there was a scratch-and-sniff feature here, because that meat smelled amazing - almost as good as it tasted!

Jacob was having so much fun, he set the table without realizing it! :) This was Michael's "at home" birthday dinner.

Oh my. I am not typically tempted by red meat - but this is the exception. Well done, Michael!

After a lovely meal we relaxed for a while and played. Later we finally got out the birthday cake!

Jacob helped me decorate it - including the letters (with my hands trying to guide it).

After singing and cake we watched the Restoration DVD from the Church, its one of our favorites! Jacob had a bath and Michael wrapped him up like this. He told us he was a "snowman robot".

It was so nice to have a nice
weekend with minimal homework, lots of family time, good food and relaxation - just what we all needed.
Michael, you are one of the most remarkable people I have ever known and I am inspired by who you are and the way you sacrifice for, work hard to support and love our little family. I am so blessed to be your wife, and the thought of being with you for eternity makes it all worth it. Happy Birthday! I love you!
