Chuck E Cheese

The Saturday after Christmas we took the kids to Chuck E Cheese's. It was Jacobs first time! Soon after you walk in you see this huge truck, and Phillip was happy to jump in there with Jacob - it was hilarious! After all, its "where a kid can be a kid!" :)
Jacob rode in every game there that had wheels of any kind. I guess I should not be surprised. He has told me that when he grows up he wants to be (in no particular order) a "driver" of each of the following: helicopter, dump truck, fire engine, digger, ambulance, train, race car and police car...
This was some sort of flying contraption...I still don't really know what it was supposed to be, and Jacob looked so funny trying to ride it - I think it is supposed to be some underwater adventure thing...but it really just looked like a primitive helicopter/hovercraft/bicycle. :P
Michael and Jacob played the "Brave Firefighters" game for a while...I stopped counting all the tokens we out in that thing - it was really fun, and Jacob was loving every minute of it, even if we did forget his fire fighter hat...
The boy in the bubble!! I didn't even have to put tokens in this one, just being in a "spaceship" was enough for him.
There was so many fun things to do there, and we had a great time! I was happy to get to play some rounds of ski-ball, a personal favorite. I was surprised at how much fun we had there. I went to Chuck E Cheese once as a kid, and I had just as much fun there as an adult. There was a bubble game that several of us became obsessed with, you win one time and spend the next 20 minutes trying to do it again! The only thing that was hard was keeping Jacob away from some of the really creepy games there. The kids also rode on a virtual roller coaster. Jacob was a bit freaked out at first, but they rode it so many times, he got used to it...then would not get off of it. :) I rode it with him a few times, and for me it felt like a massage, so I was happy to let him ride to his hearts content!
