Christmas Eve Breakfast

Christmas Eve morning we went to our good friends the Buckwalter's home for a yummy breakfast with a group of friends from the ward. Lara made some incredible cinnamon rolls and other lovely baked goods, hot cocoa, fruit, and wonderful company. We all had a great time! After eating, we gathered around and sang Christmas songs. Michael snuggled baby Elijah during the singing...he is such a cute little guy!
Our friend David brought his saxophone to accompany our singing - I think that was the first time I had ever sang with a sax, it was awesome! Jacob loved it, too. Jacob was dancing, but insisted on staying off to the side where no one would see him :).
The Buckwalter's also laid down tarps (smart people!) and let the kids decorate cookies - Jacob made it downstairs with them - within a few minutes all that was left was the blue food coloring on his lips...ahh...Christmas. The time when kids get to eat more sugar and we take pictures to remember it all before they slip into the sugar coma on Christmas Eve....
It was a great way to kick off our Christmas! We are so thankful for our ward and the friends we have made there. Good food, great music, and happy memories!
