Saturday night Jacob and I read books by the light of the Christmas tree and laughed and played. We ended up laying under the tree and singing songs and talking. I didn't get a picture, but here is Jacob at 5 months under the Christmas tree!
We had so much fun! I have so many great childhood memories of laying under the tree, I always loved having its lights shine all around the house. Jacob loves that too - when it gets dark, we plug in the tree and turn off all the other lights and play by the light of the tree (and some lights we put up in the kitchen). Michael came and laid down with us and we both told Jacob the 3 pigs story, complete with voices....thanks to Michael. It was a lovely evening!Last night we did it again - I think it may be a tradition now :). Jacob thinks its so fun, he laughs and says "I cant believe we are all under the Christmas tree!". Its been so fun to be there together singing songs, talking and laughing...yet another reason why I love this time of year!

I love your idea! I can't believe that you have your tree up. Way to be on the ball! I still haven't finished picking up from Thanksgiving let alone decorating for Christmas. I will e-mail you about Glenn Beck tomorrow. I hope we are not too late to get tickets.

You are such a great mom! Your family traditions and family time sound so fun! I too, love the pretty tree lights, but i was never allowed to get near our tree, growing up.
