When we moved into our ward a year ago there was no Playgroup. I moved from a ward that had a great Playgroup going, and I really wanted to continue that, but mostly I wanted to get to know other moms in the ward..so I started one in our ward. Its been a fun adventure, and I feel so blessed to have such great Sisters in the ward who are dear friends to me, and their kids are wonderful friends for Jacob - we are truly blessed!!
We had a Christmas Party for the kids on Tuesday, and I think Michael described it best when he said "Have fun herding the cats!" because it was a little crazy like that...but SO much fun! We played a bunch of games and had treats, laughed and had an indoor snowball fight (thanks to Anne!). I could not have pulled it off without help from some of the moms there. I hope everyone else had as much fun as we did!
I was busy rounding things up when several moms had to leave - and I was a big dork and didn't stop to take many pictures...at least any that are not just a blur of crazy kids running everywhere. By the time we were done cleaning up, Jacob was playing with the kids that were still there, who are some of his dearest friends, Josh, Karen, and Simon. Jacob loves them so much - as you can see. Believe it or not, Jacob is not the oldest kid in the group :).

How fun! I was put in charge of our ward's playgroup last summer, but after a few months of me making flyers, and planning activites to have NO ONE show up, i gave it to another lady in the ward. I love playgroups, but it is so annoying when you are the only one to show up and have to explain to the kids that everyone else forgot!
I'm glad yours is fun! It makes such a difference when you get to know other moms in the ward!
