Well Mom, this post should make you smile! I actually sat down today with a sewing machine and came off conqueror! :P Well...sort of.
A Sister in the ward got a bunch of us together to make these "I Spy" pouches for our kids, here is how mine turned out:

As you can see, the lines are not straight, they are not even really square!!
hahaha! I like to say that "they are made with love, and it shows". Today would be my second time with a sewing machine, and at least I am not as afraid of them as I used to be. Thanks Kerrie, Ramona, Jen and Emily for your help. (See how many people it took to complete this? It sounds like a "How many people does it take to screw in a
light bulb" joke...but such is my life.) It was a fun first for me.
I think Jacob will like them - and hopefully their total imperfection will not gnaw at me in the years to come :P.

They look cool. How do they work? What is an I Spy pouch?
awww, you really need to give yourself more credit! They turned out so cute, and the jungle one that you were not so sure about, is probably my favorite! It was so good seeing you and getting to hang out a little bit! I'll have to actually show up to a playdate sometime soon, so we can chat more.
That is so awesome! I think I might have seen those before, but I love yours! You must spread your knowledge with me, so I too may get help and learn to make one -hahaha! I love it!!
Seriously Ruth, you are not a bad seamstress! Your pouches turned out great...and if I may say so, I think mine are "made with love" also. Now, we just need to control ourselves and share with our kids! (i think i play with ours more that my kids do!)
